Transfering EMTs or Adding KCSO as a Secondary EMS Affiliation
All EMTs in Search & Rescue need to list KC SAR (agency number 17R10) as an affiliated agency with KC EMS in order to provide care at the EMT-B level.
KC SAR IS CURRENTLY NOT SPONSORING ANY ADDITIONAL EMTS.
New members to the King County Search and Rescue Emergency Worker program who desire EMT status must be in the Emergency Worker program for at least six months before being considered for EMT sponsorship. This is consistent with the six month membership requirement that KC EMS enforces for anyone wanting to take the county sponsored EMT class.
New members who are already EMTs and are looking for KCSO to sponsor their license must be a member in good standing as a KCSO registered emergency worker for six months prior to being considered for sponsorship.
Step 1:
Complete the Personal Status Change form (either online or a hard copy)
Online: https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/emsonline/EMSlogon.aspx
